CYCLES
a class on being in time
“Attention is the beginning of devotion” - Mary Oliver
Led by clinical herbalist kelly lecoy and hosted by Golden Hour, CYCLES is a class on paying attention, on finding ways to be in time outside of the gregorian calendar and national holidays, and creating personal practices for tuning in to what's shifting around us.
In this 90-minute class, we’ll talk about ways of noticing, of tuning in to the ebb and flow of sun, moon, earth, and body. Cycles happening all around us. We’ll learn some of the history of english words for the seasons and explore ways of creating our own sense of seasonality. To put theory into practice, we’ll look at different ways of mapping out time and begin our own calendars.
Class outline:
learn: cycles, seasons, ways of noticing
practice: creating your map of time
This is a standalone class and also an introduction to season’s turn - a year-long journey of exploring time through the elements and natural cycles, weaving in herbs and foods to tend to ourselves and our communities through the seasons.

About kelly
About kelly: The plants called to kelly slowly over time. Faced with health challenges in her early twenties, she turned to natural medicine and her curiosity bloomed from there. Through plants, she continues to find a deeper connection to self, others, and the natural world. Her work as a clinical herbalist is trauma-mindful, rooted in deep listening, embodiment, and harm reduction principles. She approaches wellness as a practice and a process, a continuous unfolding.
